Berlin Calling

For the first edition of the EWT Catching Ideas, we chose Berlin to live as locals and get inspired by new places and tastes. We would like to share some tips and suggestions "to-do's and don'ts" in the capital of the new trends.

DO's

Enjoy a foodies & instagramers loving brunch at Roamers.
Be enchanted by the contemporary and futuristic buildings around the city.
Get lost in Kreuzberg to be inspired by the undergrounders.
Visit the Neukölln quarter, the hippest area in town.
Taste the best Pastrami sandwich at Mogg & Melzer.
Visit the Bauhaus museum to discover how revolutionary the Gropius movement was.
Take surreal pictures in labyrinth of the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe.
Go for a drink at ORA, an ex-pharmacy which serves cocktails that make you feel good!
Stay overnight at the most artsy and crazy Michelberger Hotel.
Don’t leave the city without tasting the Berliner street-food at the Markthalle Neun.
Go by the terrace at Bikini Hotel’s Monkey Bar to admire Potsdamer Platz and drink a Jungle Gin&Tonic over the Zoo.
Go clubbing @ Stadbatt, an ex public swimming pool.
Drink Club-Mate & dance till dawn.

DON’TS

Don’t eat pasta or pizza in Berlin, currywurst is far better!
Don’t speak Italian thinking that people around cannot understand you. Berlin is full of Italians.
Don’t get offended if the bouncer decline you at the club entrance, it does not depend on you.
Don’t be too fashionist, Berliners are trendy, not fashion victims.
Don’t be shy with strangers, express yourself, Berlin is the capital of freedom.

Enjoy... und Tschüß!
